I have to say, it's a little weird having your house with you on the road. But on the flip side it's AMAZING to have your own bathroom and bed when you stop!
We made it all the way to just past Reno on the first day. There is a great spot to "boondock" (I learned a new word) in Sparks in the foothills. It was so pretty with Wild Horses roaming around.
We passed through Auburn California and there was a fire in the distance.
Monday we made our way up into Oregon and I got to drive for a little while. I want to be prepared with a little bit of experience incase I ever NEED to drive.
And we took a picture, just so y'all would know I was telling the truth! 🤣
We made it to Meridian, Idaho.
Tuesday we took the girls to the Birds of Prey Museum. They rehabilitate and breed Condors there. And we got to see a Red Tailed Hawk up close.
Tuesday evening we met some friends at a park in Nampa. The kids played until dark and it was so fun to visit. The we hopped back on the road for a couple of hours.
We passed into Utah on Wednesday.
We dropped off the trailer at a KOA in Salt Lake City and then went to pick up our doTERRA monthly order at the product center in Pleasant Grove.
Then we got to go register for the 2021 doTERRA global convention! And we stopped the market place and got some swag!
doTERRA is an amazing company and very generous. With our tickets to get in we get a backpack full of goodies every year.
We attended the doTERRA convention Thursday, Friday & Saturday. We did a ton of walking (like 11,000 steps worth) and learned so much my brain was a little on overload. More about this later!
The KOA in Salt Lake was beautiful and had a nice laundry room, so I could catch up on laundry.
We stayed over until Sunday morning and headed out towards Colorado to see more friends.
I am enjoying life on the road so far. And loving the time with my family.
We often stay in KOA campgrounds. I feel safe there. Sometimes in a cabin, sometimes in an RV spot. I too love the convenience of having my own “stuff” along for the ride.
P.S. I am getting the hang of this blog and doing it mobile. This is my 3rd try for this post! 🤣
